About Our Club

Our club has seen some tremendous growth since we got started in August 2007.
There is a real need for an open, fun and safe riding club.
People are looking to get out and meet new friends, people that share a common interest to themselves.
Our chapter has earned itself a reputation for being a fun and friendly group that opens themselves up to welcoming new people.
This is the backbone to our group.

Group Riding

Group Riding can be very fun and a great way of meeting new friends and traveling to destinations you may not go on your own or even knew existed but it can also be very intimidating to someone who has never done it before.

We want to make the transition from solo to group riding as easy and painless as possible.

If anyone in our group needs any training or help to feel more equipped to ride as part of the group, don't hesitate to ask any of our group officers for assistance.

We are here to help you and make riding safer for everyone.

Children's Wish Foundation Logo

CMC Barrie 006 collects voluntary donations at our rides and various events. We have a change jar that riders freely drop in a donation to the "Children’s Wish Foundation”.

CMC Nationally proudly supports the Children's Wish Foundation.

006 Shooters

Our female members of Barrie 006 have branded themselves as 006 Shooters.

Here is the 006 Shooters badge of honour. This crest is available for all female members of our Barrie club.

ALCOHOL POLICY

All club rides are 100% alcohol free. If you have a drink at lunch, you’re on your own the rest of that day.

It’s all about safety and if you show up to a ride with alcohol on your breath the Road Captain or Officer will not

allow you to ride in the group. There are also no drugs (illegal) allowed to be used during a ride.

Interested in joining CMC Barrie 006

Most of our new members have come to us through word of mouth from a friend as well as events where we have an opportunity to invite new members.
Our club has many great rides planned each season, so prepare yourself for a great summers and expect to roll on a lot of miles.
We also have some overnight and weekend rides for those who wish to do extended riding. The weekends that we have trips planned we will also still have our regular Sunday ride as well. So these longer weekend rides will not interfere with the members that still want to ride but are unable to attend the longer trips.
Remember this is your club and you only get out of it what you put into it.
We are always looking for volunteers to help organize and run club functions. From Officers, Road Captains, special events to ride suggestions we need your advice and expertise at all levels of the club. It could be as simple as coming up with a good ride suggestion. The bottom line is we need your input. If we all take a real interest in the club and make it feel like our own and really become connected to it then it will never falter and never become a "them" and "us" club.
